Physiotherapy uses a range of techniques to help improve mobility and reduce pain. This is accomplished by using a variety of methods including gentle movement, manual therapy, exercise, education and advice.
Sports Massage is the management, manipulation and rehabilitation of soft tissues of the body including muscles, tendons and ligaments.
Acupuncture is used as a method for treating pain. The needles stimulate nerve endings and the brain to release endorphins (pain relieving chemicals). The therapist will feel for tender ‘trigger’ points in the tissues under your skin.
